Reusable platform for school websites
The system behind the Die Fakkel site, made reusable: one codebase that produces a complete, branded school website from a single configuration file per school.

The brief
Many schools have websites that are years out of date or have lapsed entirely. Building each one from scratch is slow and expensive. The goal was a platform that keeps each school’s own identity, colours, crest, history and photographs while sharing the engineering underneath.
What we built
Each school is a configuration file of colours, crest, content and photographs. The platform produces the full site from it.
Every fact and photograph is sourced from the school’s own published material and press coverage, with the sources recorded alongside.
Scripts check each school’s configuration and run quality checks on empty and fully loaded sites before anything is built.
A dashboard lists every school build so they can be previewed side by side.
The sites
These are concept builds made to show each school what a modern site could look like. They are not the schools’ official websites, and each is clearly marked as a concept.
